Grechetto Grape Variety

There are two unrelated varieties of grapes falling under the name of Grechetto, namely Grechetto di Orvieto and Grechetto di Todi. Both varieties are often mixed in Grechetto wines. The grape variety is light bodied and high in acidity with a bouquet and flavours of lemons, white flowers, apples, and limes. It is cultivated primarily in Umbria and Emilia Romagna.

We visit wineries, restaurants and other highlights to give you the information you need to plan a great trip to Italy. We can design itineraries, advise on bookings and show you the Italy that the tour companies don’t tell you about.
