Gamay del Trasimeno Grape Variety

Gamay del Trasimeno is a grape variety grown almost exclusively around Lake Trasimeno in Umbria. Interestingly, studies have shown that this varietal is the same as the Sardinian grape known as Cannonau, Tai Rosso from the Veneto, Grenache from France, and Garnacha from Spain.
